Team communication
Bring the next customer handoff into Google Chat
For teams working in Google Workspace, a well-placed Chat message can make the difference between a noticed request and a forgotten one. Bob prepares a clear front-office update and deliver it through the Google Chat workflow your business enables.
Bob delivers the customer summary and next action into the Google Chat space that owns the work.
Give your team a useful message instead of more noise
Bob organizes the customer’s need into a short summary with the next action and a link to the underlying work. Your team chooses the spaces and situations where a notification is useful, keeping everyday conversation separate from the requests that require attention.
Workflows
Notify an authorized space
Send enabled workflow messages to the configured Google Chat destination.
Keep related updates together
Use supported thread behavior to preserve context as a customer request moves forward.
Connect Workspace follow-up
Pair a handoff with separately configured Gmail or Google Calendar actions when the next step is an email or appointment.
Example workflow
Example workflow
A visitor asks for a callback from a particular service team. Bob gathers the topic and preferred time, then prepares a Google Chat notification with a link to the request. The team can see who needs help and why without searching through an entire transcript.
Illustrative example, not a live execution log.
Connection and setup
Configure the supported Chat app or user-authorized connection, confirm space access, and choose which workflow events may produce messages.
How Bob turns a conversation into a useful next step
Bob starts with the customer's request and the business information you approve. When the workflow needs a current record, Bob retrieves it from the connected service. When the next step changes a record or sends a message, Bob follows the permissions and approval steps you configure. The customer gets a useful next response, and your team gets a clear handoff when a person needs to take over.
Questions
Will the message appear as Bob or as a person?
The sending identity depends on the configured Google Chat authentication and application model. The interface should make that identity clear.
Can Bob read all our Google Workspace information?
No. Google Chat, Gmail, Calendar, and other services have separate access requirements. Enable the tools needed for the specific workflow.
Who decides what Bob can change or send?
You choose the records Bob reads and the actions he takes. A reply, a record update, or an outbound message follows the approval step you set for that workflow. See the pricing page for plans. This page does not list prices.
