Team communication

Keep your Microsoft Teams colleagues connected to the front office

Your customers may arrive through a website or phone conversation while your staff coordinate in Teams. Bob connects those two sides with useful summaries and clear handoffs through the Teams capabilities enabled for your organization.

Manage connections

Bob posts the front-office summary into Microsoft Teams so the people doing the work see the request and the next step.

Make internal coordination part of customer service

A customer request should not lose its meaning when it becomes an internal message. Bob can prepare the reason for the handoff, the relevant details, and the next action for the receiving team. Staff can then continue in the collaboration environment they already use.

Workflows

Notify the appropriate team

Use the supported Teams messaging path to deliver an authorized operational notification.

Share a concise briefing

Include the information needed to respond and a link to the relevant request, limiting sensitive details to the proper audience.

Coordinate with Microsoft workflows

Pair the handoff with separately enabled Outlook or Microsoft Calendar tools when email or scheduling is the next step.

Example workflow

Example workflow

A customer asks to move an upcoming consultation and mentions a new requirement. Bob captures both details and prepares a Teams handoff for the account team. Staff can review the request and continue through the configured calendar workflow.

Connection and setup

Confirm your organization’s supported Teams application and permission path, choose destinations, and define the events that should notify staff.

How Bob turns a conversation into a useful next step

Bob starts with the customer's request and the business information you approve. When the workflow needs a current record, Bob retrieves it from the connected service. When the next step changes a record or sends a message, Bob follows the permissions and approval steps you configure. The customer gets a useful next response, and your team gets a clear handoff when a person needs to take over.

Questions

Is Teams access included when Outlook is connected?

Not necessarily. Teams messaging, Outlook email, and calendar access have distinct requirements and must be configured for the intended workflow.

Can Bob post anywhere in our organization?

No. The authentication model, membership, provider permissions, and enabled tools determine where a message can be sent.

Who decides what Bob can change or send?

You choose the records Bob reads and the actions he takes. A reply, a record update, or an outbound message follows the approval step you set for that workflow. See the pricing page for plans. This page does not list prices.
