Make billing questions easier to understand and resolve

A billing question can interrupt a customer’s entire experience. Bob clarifies what the customer is asking and, through an authorized Stripe workflow, consult the relevant billing information or prepare a useful handoff for your team.

Manage connections

Bob uses the Stripe customer and payment record to explain the charge and prepare the billing follow-up.

Give the answer the right billing context

Payment status, an invoice, and a subscription are related but different records. Bob identify which one matters to the request. The goal is a clear explanation and an appropriate next step, with changes handled through the actions and approvals your business has enabled.

Workflows

Consult permitted billing records

Use supported customer, invoice, payment, or subscription lookups after the requester has been appropriately identified.

Guide the next action

Direct the customer to a configured hosted payment or account-management flow where that is the supported way to resolve the request.

Prepare an exception for review

Capture the reason for a disputed charge, cancellation, or refund request and attach the relevant reference for staff.

Example workflow

Example workflow

A customer believes they were charged twice. Bob gathers the relevant details and checks the authorized billing records. If the matter needs review, the handoff identifies the transactions and the customer’s concern without promising a refund before the team has decided.

Connection and setup

Connect the intended Stripe business account and choose supported read and action tools. Keep your business’s customer billing separate from Office 168/52’s own subscription billing.

How Bob turns a conversation into a useful next step

Bob starts with the customer's request and the business information you approve. When the workflow needs a current record, Bob retrieves it from the connected service. When the next step changes a record or sends a message, Bob follows the permissions and approval steps you configure. The customer gets a useful next response, and your team gets a clear handoff when a person needs to take over.

Questions

Does connecting Stripe authorize Bob to move money?

No. A connection does not imply permission for every financial action. Refunds, charges, and subscription changes require their own supported tools and approval rules.

Can Bob explain a payment failure?

Bob can report the appropriate information returned by the configured workflow and guide the customer to the approved resolution path without exposing sensitive internal details.

Who decides what Bob can change or send?

You choose the records Bob reads and the actions he takes. A reply, a record update, or an outbound message follows the approval step you set for that workflow. See the pricing page for plans. This page does not list prices.
